How to Claim Your Yelp Business Page
The process for taking ownership of the Yelp page Yelp may have already created for your business.
Yelp often creates a basic page for a business automatically, based on public information, before the owner ever logs in. Claiming it is what lets you actually manage it.
Steps
- Search for your business on yelp.com — if a page already exists, look for a "Claim this business" link.
- If no page exists, create one directly through Yelp for Business.
- Verify ownership, usually by phone call or postcard, similar to Google's process.
- Once verified, fill in hours, photos, categories, and a business description.
- Set up notifications so you're alerted to new reviews and messages.
ask datanephew
Can datanephew claim or manage my Yelp page for me?
No — claiming happens directly through Yelp and isn't something any connected tool can do. Yelp support is also on datanephew's roadmap for reading review data once it ships, but the claim process itself will always be manual.
Is claiming my Yelp page free?
Yes, claiming and managing the basic listing is free — Yelp separately sells advertising, which is optional.
