Bing Webmaster Tools vs. Google Search Console
Two separate free tools, one per search engine, that don't share data with each other.
What it means
Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools do the same basic job — showing you rankings, clicks, and crawl issues — but each only covers its own search engine. Being verified in one does not verify or report anything in the other; they need to be set up separately.
Why it matters
A site can look totally fine in Search Console while having crawl errors or ranking problems specifically on Bing that nobody would ever notice without checking both. Since Bing also powers Yahoo results and is the default in Edge and Windows, that gap is bigger than it sounds.

Do I need to connect both?
Only if you care about tracking both search engines separately. Most sites get the bulk of their search traffic from Google, but connecting Bing too costs little and fills in the rest of the picture.
