The Index Coverage / Pages Report
Shows which of your pages Google has actually indexed, versus which it found but excluded for some reason.
What it means
The Pages report (formerly called Index Coverage) in Search Console lists every URL Google knows about on your site and sorts them into indexed and not indexed, with a specific reason for each excluded page — things like duplicate content, a redirect, or a deliberate no-index tag. Being submitted or crawled doesn't guarantee a page ends up indexed.
Why it matters
A page that isn't indexed can't appear in search results at all, no matter how well it's written or optimized, so this report is often the first place to look when a page you expect to rank simply doesn't show up anywhere. The specific exclusion reason usually points directly at the fix.
