How to Claim/Add a Bing Places Listing
How to set up your Bing Places listing on Microsoft's redesigned platform.
Microsoft relaunched Bing Places in a redesigned form on October 3, 2025, moving the whole product from the old bingplaces.com to bing.com/forbusiness, according to Microsoft's Bing Search Blog.
Steps
- Go to bing.com/forbusiness and sign in with a Microsoft account.
- Search for your business to see if a listing already exists.
- If it exists, claim it; if not, add your business details manually.
- Verify ownership using the method Microsoft offers — often instant if you have a verified Google Business Profile, otherwise phone or postcard.
- Complete your profile with hours, photos, and categories once verified.

Can datanephew set up my Bing Places listing for me?
Not yet — that requires Bing Places support, which is on datanephew's roadmap. Datanephew's existing Bing Webmaster connector covers your Bing search performance, which is a different, already-connected piece.
I set up the old bingplaces.com years ago — do I need to redo anything?
Check your listing at the new bing.com/forbusiness address, since Microsoft moved the whole product there in October 2025 — it's worth confirming your old listing carried over correctly.
