"Accounts Reached" vs. "Accounts Engaged"
Accounts reached is who saw your content; accounts engaged is who actually interacted with it.
What it means
Accounts reached counts unique accounts that saw your content. Accounts engaged counts unique accounts that took an action on it — a like, comment, save, share, or profile visit. Engaged accounts are always a subset of reached accounts.
Why it matters
The ratio between the two is a cleaner read on content quality than either number alone — a post reaching a lot of accounts but engaging very few of them suggests the content didn't land, even if it was widely seen.
ask datanephew
What percentage of the people I reach actually engage?
Ask datanephew to compare accounts reached to accounts engaged for your recent posts — that ratio is a good measure of how compelling your content actually is, not just how far it spread.
Which posts reached a lot of people but got little engagement?
Ask datanephew to find posts with high reach but low engagement rate — those are worth a second look to understand why they didn't connect.
