YouTube Traffic Sources (Browse, Suggested, Search)
Where your viewers actually come from — the homepage, suggested videos, or search.
What it means
YouTube Studio breaks views down by traffic source: Browse features (the homepage and subscriptions feed), Suggested videos (shown alongside something else a viewer is watching), YouTube Search, external sites, and a few smaller sources.
Why it matters
Each source rewards a different thing — Search rewards a clear, keyword-matched title, while Suggested rewards a thumbnail that stands out next to whatever a viewer was already watching. Knowing which source drives a video tells you what actually worked.

Where is most of my traffic coming from?
Ask datanephew to break down your channel's views by traffic source over the last month — it will show whether you are winning on search, suggested, or browse.
Did this video do well because of the topic, or because YouTube suggested it a lot?
Ask datanephew to check that specific video's traffic source breakdown — a spike driven almost entirely by Suggested tells a different story than one driven by Search.
