Billing Problems That Can Pause Your Ads
A declined card, an unpaid balance, or a chargeback can each stop your ads from running until it's resolved.
What it means
Several ordinary billing situations can stop ads from running: a declined payment (ads may pause until it goes through, though some accounts get a short grace period), an unpaid balance, or a chargeback (disputing a legitimate charge with your bank, which can trigger a suspension rather than just a pause). With automatic payments, costs accrue and then get charged either monthly or once you cross a set spending threshold, and a backup payment method only gets charged if your main one is declined. Occasionally, Google or Microsoft verifies a payment method with a small test charge or a bank challenge-deposit before it's fully trusted.
Why it matters
Most of these are simple, self-resolving billing hiccups rather than policy problems — the fix is usually just updating or confirming a payment method, not touching your campaigns at all.

My ads just stopped running with no policy notice — could it be a billing issue?
Ask datanephew whether delivery has actually paused. If so, check your account's billing section directly for a declined payment, unpaid balance, or a pending payment-method verification — datanephew doesn't have visibility into your billing details itself.
