Suspicious Payment Activity & Paused Ads
Unusual payment behavior — new cards, declines, chargebacks — can pause or suspend your account even if the ads themselves are fine.
What it means
Google can suspend an account or limit its spending if something looks wrong with its payments — using a stolen card, applying for invoicing under someone else's identity, or suddenly cycling through several new cards with declines or chargebacks. A lighter version of this is a pause rather than a full suspension: ads stop running temporarily until you answer a few questions about your payment history, after which they can resume.
Why it matters
This kind of pause or suspension is about the payment method itself, not your ad content or performance — so if delivery suddenly stops with no policy notice about the ads, it's worth checking your billing section before assuming it's a targeting or creative problem.

My ads suddenly stopped running and it's not a policy issue with the ad itself — what else could it be?
Ask datanephew whether the account shows any signs of paused delivery. If so, check your billing section directly — a payment-related pause often needs you to confirm recent payment activity before ads resume.
