Account Suspensions: Why They Happen
A suspension stops every ad in the account, not just one, and falls into a handful of specific categories.
What it means
An account can be suspended for policy violations or breaking the platform's terms — for egregious cases, immediately and without warning; for repeat, less severe issues, with at least 7 days' warning first. Google groups suspension reasons into four buckets: billing and payment problems, policy violations, unauthorized account activity (like someone else trying to break into your account), and age requirements. Once suspended, every ad in the account stops running until it's resolved.
Why it matters
Because a suspension affects the entire account rather than one ad, it's a much bigger deal than a single disapproval — and because some categories give no advance warning at all, understanding which bucket you're in shapes how urgently to respond and whether an appeal is even the right next step.

My whole account is suspended, not just one ad — where do I even start?
Datanephew can help you see what changed recently in your account, but it can't view Google's private suspension notice or manage the appeal itself — that lives in your Google Ads account and email.
