Service-Area Business (SAB) vs. Storefront
A business that serves customers at their location rather than a physical address customers visit.
What it means
A storefront business has a physical address customers come to, like a retail shop or restaurant. A service-area business (SAB) — a plumber, an electrician, a mobile pet groomer — travels to customers instead, and often has no public-facing address at all, even if it has an office.
Why it matters
Local listing platforms treat these two types differently — an SAB usually hides its exact address and instead defines a service area, which changes how it should be set up and how it shows up in local search. Setting an SAB up like a storefront (or vice versa) can hurt its local visibility.

Can datanephew tell me if my listing is set up correctly as an SAB?
Not yet — datanephew doesn't have a connector for Google Business Profile or similar local listing platforms in this release, so it can't check your listing configuration.
Where should I check this myself for now?
Check your Google Business Profile settings directly to confirm whether your business is configured as a service-area business or a storefront, and that your declared service area matches where you actually work.
