How to Claim & Verify a Facebook Page
Steps to take ownership of and verify your business's Facebook Page.
If your business already has a Facebook Page you didn't create, or you're setting one up for the first time, claiming and verifying it makes sure you're the one in control of it and that visitors can trust it's really you.
Steps
- Search Facebook for your business name to see if a Page already exists (sometimes created automatically from check-ins or reviews).
- If it exists and you don't have access, use Facebook's "Is this your business?" or Page support options to request a claim.
- If no Page exists, create one under Meta Business Suite with your business category, address, and hours.
- Add yourself as an admin and set up two-factor authentication on the account.
- Apply for a verified badge through Meta Business Suite if your business is eligible (usually requires a registered business, a real audience, and documentation).
- Fill in your profile completely — address, hours, website — since incomplete Pages are treated as lower quality by Facebook's own systems.
ask datanephew
Once my Page is verified, can datanephew manage it for me?
datanephew can read your Facebook Page's metrics — reach, engagement, audience insights, and reviews — but it doesn't post, publish, or manage Page settings on your behalf.
Can datanephew tell me if my Page profile is complete?
Not directly for profile fields like hours or address — that's a Facebook settings question. It can tell you about the performance data available once your Page is connected.
