Landing Page (Destination) Requirements

Your ad's destination page has to actually work, match the ad, and be reachable by Google — or the ad gets disapproved.

What it means

Every ad's landing page must be functional, useful, and easy to navigate. The most common destination disapprovals are the page not working (broken link, error, or a typo in the URL), a mismatch between what the ad promises and what the page shows, and the page not being crawlable — often because a robots.txt file is accidentally blocking Google's ad-review crawler.

Why it matters

A "destination" disapproval is usually a fast, self-serve fix once you know which of the three it is — a broken URL, a content mismatch, or a robots.txt block are each fixed completely differently, so it's worth checking the exact reason before guessing.

Why did my ad get disapproved for its destination?

Ask datanephew to check the specific destination reason and, separately, whether your landing page actually loads and isn't blocked by robots.txt. That narrows it down to a broken link, a content mismatch, or a crawl block.
