GBP Products & Services Sections
The parts of your Business Profile where you list exactly what you sell or do.
Beyond your category, Google lets you list specific products and services directly on your profile — a useful place to spell out details a category label can't capture.
Steps
- Open the Products or Services section in your Business Profile dashboard.
- Add each product or service with a name, short description, and price if you want to show one.
- Include a photo for products where it helps — a menu item or retail product benefits more than a general service.
- Group related items so the section stays easy to scan rather than a long unsorted list.
- Revisit the list seasonally to remove anything discontinued and add anything new.
ask datanephew
Can datanephew fill in these sections for me?
Services, yes, on Owner: Claude reads your current services for free, and adds or updates them on your listing once you've agreed the wording. Google reviews edits before they show, so a change may sit as pending for a while. The separate products catalog can't be edited through datanephew; add products in Business Profile directly.
Does this actually affect search ranking?
Google doesn't say how much it counts. Its clearest value is to customers: a services list tells them you do the job they're after before they pick up the phone.
